Italians created biscotti many centuries ago in the region of Tuscany. Biscotti means "twice cooked". The word biscotto is derived from bis (twice) and cotto (cooked).
Kimmi's Biscotti's are toasted to give them a crunchy texture, they contain very little moisture, therefore the shelf life is twice as long as a traditional cookie.
There are many ways to enjoy Kimmi's Biscotti. We have created our original recipes to be crunchy on the outside with a softer inside. This unique texture is perfect to dunk in coffee, tea, milk and wine. Our biscotti can be enjoyed for breakfast, lunch or after dinner as dessert.
A popular way to eat biscotti is to crumble any one of our eight flavors over a dish of ice cream add some whipped cream (optional) and you have a delicious dessert.
